We can most definitely feel that “summer is in the air”. After a year of sequestering at home people are reaching out to family and friends, getting into cars, and hopping on planes for those long-delayed vacations, camps, and feeling a renewed sense of freedom. It also means that in our newly reopened churches our pews are sparsely occupied as we try and keep regular services offered.
If you are home Sunday morning, please consider joining us. We will be having morning prayer, which is a lovely service and a time of prayerful devotions. On July 18th, The Reverend Mary Slenski will be back with us and she would like to meet after the service with everyone who is involved in outreach, either to our own parishioners or in the community. This will be a wonderful opportunity to share what has happened these last many months and to get the perspective of a new set of eyes and experiences to re-energize and perhaps even re-direct or expand our efforts. Please mark your calendars.
Meanwhile, please enjoy our quiet, cicada less evenings, travel safely and don’t forget the sunscreen.
Blessings, safe travels and wishes for good health to all,
