SAVE THE DATE: February 20th, immediately following our 10:15 a.m. service
I’m sure no one has been counting the days until our next annual parish meeting, but I hope this year you will plan to stay with us after this service and hear an update on the state of St. Andrew’s following two years of a pandemic and over two and half years without a permanent rector.
We have much to be proud of, people to remember, positions to fill, a new rector to welcome, and we want and need your help. On February 20th we will be electing new people to serve on your Vestry. We will be looking for two people to represent St. Andrew’s at the Diocesan Convention next fall. (Terry and Thea have faithfully been our delegates these past two years). We also need at least one more person to attend the College on Congregational Development at Waycross next July 17-23. (The Diocese is going to be moving to a grant approach to bring extra dollars into parishes to help support their ministries). This is to replace the “aided parish” mode that we have been a part of for many years. In order to be eligible to even apply, we must have two parish members who have completed the “College”. If you are interested in learning more about any of these opportunities, please contact me or any member of the Vestry. We are looking for your time and talent and we hope you will consider sharing some/more of them with St. Andrew’s. Many thanks for your consideration.
Sending sunshine, good wishes and much gratitude.
