In Jesus’ last visit to the Temple before his crucifixion, he tries to help the disciples see things clearly, to dis-illusion them, rather than trusting that things in our world will stay the same. He continues to point to the gestures of love and inclusion that marked his ministry, and that provide the promise of eternity.
